Gisela Schmidting

Gisela Schmidting (born April 3, 1920 in Cologne , † August 11, 2005 in Bad Münstereifel ) was a German actress and opera singer .

Life

After visiting a Lyceum Gisela Schmid Ting studied at the Academy of Music in Cologne, where her father Franz Schmid Ting also worked as a teacher. From 1942 onwards she played her first roles as a singer at theaters in Freiburg and The Hague . From 1946 to 1947 she played at the State Theater in Munich . In 1947 she had engagements in Zurich and Lucerne . In 1953 a guest performance at the municipal theaters in Krefeld followed . From 1956 she belonged to the ensemble of the Düsseldorf Opera House .

Gisela Schmidting also worked in various film productions . These included the feature films The Blue Straw Hat from 1949 by Viktor Tourjansky with Margot Hielscher , Mady Rahl and Karl Schönböck , in 1951 Professor Nachtfalter by Rolf Meyer with Johannes Heesters , Margarete Haagen and Harald Paulsen, and in 1952 That can happen to anyone under the direction of Paul Verhoeven with Heinz Rühmann , Gustav Knuth and Alice Treff .
