Demore Barnes (born February 26, 1976 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a Canadian actor who became famous for his role as Hector Williams from the series The Unit .

life and career

Demore Barnes comes from the Canadian city of Toronto, where he attended Sir Oliver Mowat High School . At the age of 18, and after school friends encouraged him to present themselves on stage, he appeared on the sketch show Squawk Box , which ran on YTV , the Canadian equivalent of Nickelodeon . After the show was canceled after a season, Barnes enrolled in the Ryerson University theater program but decided against it when he was cast for the children's show Street Cents on CBC . For the whole season he was on stage for this.

Barnes has appeared in film and television since 1998. He made his first appearance in a mini-role in the television movie White Lies . This was followed by appearances in series such as Relic Hunter - Die Schatzjägerin or Dic , before he took on the recurring role of Benjamin Hardaway in the series 12 Associates in 2001 . In 2003 Barnes moved to Los Angeles and was back in front of the camera for the first time in 2006. That year he took on the role of Hector Williams in the series The Unit - A Matter of Honor . He played this role in three seasons until 2009 and gained greater fame.

As a result, he was able to take on guest roles in US hit series, including Fringe - Grenzfalls des FBI , Supernatural , Being Erica - Alles auf Anfang , Against the Wall , Flashpoint - Das Spezialkommando , Hannibal , Covert Affairs and Saving Hope .
