The German Ice Hockey Cup was played for the third time in the 2004/05 season by the German Ice Hockey Federation in cooperation with the German Ice Hockey League and the Ice Hockey Game Operating Company.

The first round was played on September 12, 2004, the second on October 19. The quarter-finals were played on November 23, the semi-finals on January 18, 2005, before the cup winners were determined in the final on February 22 .
