Devon Joseph Werkheiser (born March 8, 1991 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American actor and singer .

life and career

Devon Werkheiser was born in 1991 to a real estate agent and housewife and grew up in Johns Creek , Georgia . He got his first acting experience when his parents signed him up for the local Atlanta theater company, where he appeared in plays such as The Emperor's New Clothes and Little Red Riding Hood .

In 2002 Werkheiser got his first film role in the war drama We Were Heroes . The shooting took place in Georgia. The then 10-year-old played there Steven Moore, the son of Colonel Moore ( Mel Gibson ). After that role, he moved to Los Angeles with his mother to pursue his acting career. After a guest appearance on the short-lived television series That Was Then, he starred in Harvey Frost's comedy film Recipe for Disaster on the side of John Larroquette and Lesley Ann Warren .

From 2004 to 2007 he starred alongside Lindsey Shaw and Daniel Curtis Lee as Ned Bigby in the television series Ned's Ultimate School Madness . In 2007 he had a role in the film, alias Shredderman . Werkheiser was nominated for the first German Nick Kids' Choice Awards in 2007 in the Favorite Actor category, and Jamie Lynn Spears finally received the award. However, the series Ned's Ultimate School Madness received the award in the Favorite Series category , which he was allowed to accept as a leading actor.

2010 followed roles in the films The Prankster and Love at First Hiccup . In 2011 he played alongside Dennis Quaid the role of Danny in the horror film Inside the Darkness .

He dated his fellow actor Lindsey Shaw until 2009 . He has had a relationship with Molly McCook since 2009 . He supports the Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation , which cares for sick children.

Music career

He originally signed a contract with Universal Records for his debut album , but his label status on Myspace is Untrilled , which indicates that the contract with Universal Records no longer exists.

In 2007 his first song, the demo song Super Hero, was released on the Shredderman Rules DVD. His first single, If Eyes Could Speak , was released on April 1, 2010 on the iTunes Store . The official music video for the song was released on June 15, 2010 on Youtube. His second single, Sparks Will Fly , was also released on July 29, 2010 on the iTunes Store.

Werkheiser has already had various appearances in San Francisco and Los Angeles, where he appeared together with artists such as Kristen Marie Hollyin, Britney Christian and Kole. His song If Eyes Could Speak is the soundtrack to the romantic comedy Love At First Hiccup , where he starred alongside Scout Taylor-Compton .
