Diana Nicole DeGarmo (born June 16, 1987 in Birmingham , Alabama ) is an American singer . In 2004, she participated in the third season of American Idol , and reached second place.

Life

Diana DeGarmo was born on June 16, 1987 in Birmingham, Alabama. She went in Snellville ( Georgia ) to the Crews Middle School . DeGarmo has been playing theater since 2005 , including on Broadway .

Her uncle Eddie (from DeGarmo and Key ) is also a musician.

American Idol

On May 26, 2004 DeGarmo Fantasia Barrino lost in the final. This made her the youngest finalist in nine seasons, until in the tenth season (2011) Lauren Alaina undercut her age of 16 years and 345 days by 147 days.
