Die Rache der Wanderhure is a German TV film from 2012. It is based on the novel Die Kastellanin by Iny Lorentz and is the sequel to the film Die Wanderhure . Alexandra Neldel plays the leading role.

Shortly after the broadcast of Die Wanderhure , there was speculation about the continuation. At the Sat.1 program presentation on July 21, 2011 it was announced that the novel Die Kastellanin will be filmed for 2012 under the title Die Rache der Wanderhure . The script was written by Thomas Wesskamp and Dirk Salomon; Directed by Hansjörg Thurn. The filming took place from August 23 to October 16, 2011 in the Czech Republic and Austria . The film was jointly produced by Aichholzer Filmproduktion GmbH, Austria, TV60 Filmproduktion GmbH , Germany and Wilma Film, Czech Republic; the production costs amounted to 5.6 million euros. The Austrian film fund television fund Austria funded the production with € 700,000.

The role of Marie Schärer played again Alexandra Neldel. She started her film training in March in order to master the choreography of sword fights by the end of August. She also learned to ride for the film. Esther Schweins took on the role of abbess and mistress of the king, Isabel de Melancourt. Helmut Berger was cast in the role of Count Sokolny, and Xenia Georgia Assenza played his daughter.

The first broadcast of Die Rache der Wanderhure on February 28, 2012 was seen by a total of 8.01 million viewers in Germany and achieved a market share of 25.3% for Sat.1; In the group of 14- to 49-year-old viewers , 3.41 million viewers and a market share of 27.0% were achieved.
