Diego Ângelo de Oliveira (born February 12, 1986 in Anápolis ) is a Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Brazil

His football career began in 2005 with FC Santos. Here the player remained under contract until 2006. In March 2007 he moved to the Brazilian second division side Ituano. He played his first competitive game on May 12th and scored his first goal on July 10th in a 3-1 win against FC Paulista .

Europe

In September 2007 he left Brazil and signed a contract with Naval 1º de Maio , a club from the 1st division in Portugal. In the first season he established himself as a regular player, and in three years he played 88 competitive games. In the 2009/10 season it was already apparent during the season that he was leaving CFC Genoa , and he signed a preliminary contract with the Italian Serie A club.

Although he took part in training there in May 2010 and even completed a preparatory game for the Italians, he was loaned out because of the new non-EU foreigner regulation of the Italian Football Association, as he was the last newcomer. Thus, on the advice of his new team-mate Pelé , he signed a contract with Eskişehirspor .

At the beginning of the 2010/11 season he was not considered by Rıza Çalımbay , so he was not used. After his release, he promptly became a regular player and flourished under the new coach Bülent Uygun . His first goal for the team from Eskişehir he scored on matchday 15 in a 2-2 win against Kayserispor . Since December 26, 2010, Diego is only under contract with Eskişehirspor. The club withdrew the option and signed him until May 31, 2013.

In the summer of 2015 he moved to the newly promoted Antalyaspor within the Süper Lig . Here he played for four and a half years and moved on to league rivals Kayserispor in the 2019/20 winter transfer period .
