Hugo Miguel Almeida Costa Lopes (born December 19, 1986 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese football player .
Career
society
Lopes started his professional career in the B-Team of Benfica Lisbon . The following summer he moved to the lower class club CD Operário . After some good performances there, he moved to Rio Ave FC one season later . In January 2009 it was already negotiated that Lopes would move to FC Porto during the summer break , where he received a four-year contract. When he arrived at FC Porto, however, he couldn't get past Jorge Fucile and only made 12 appearances in the 2009/10 season . In August 2010 Lopes moved on loan to Betis Sevilla in the Spanish Segunda División . In the following season he was active on loan at Sporting Braga . In January 2013 he moved to league rivals Sporting Lisbon and signed a contract until the end of June 2018. In return, the Russian international Marat Nailewitsch Ismailow moved to FC Porto.
For the 2016/17 season he was loaned to the Turkish first division club Akhisar Belediyespor . After one season he was signed by this club including a transfer fee. He was an important part of the team that achieved the most important successes in the club's history by winning the Turkish Cup in the 2017/18 season , the Turkish Supercup 2018 and the cup final in 2018/19 .
In the summer of 2019, after Akhisarspor's relegation from the Süper Lig, he moved to the Turkish first division club Kayserispor .
National team
For Portugal's U21 team , he played two international matches between 2006 and 2009. On June 2, 2012, Lopes made his debut for the Portuguese national team after he was surprisingly nominated for the 2012 European Championship by national coach Paulo Bento .
