Paul Panzer (comedian)
Dieter Tappert (born January 8, 1972 in Düren ) is a German stand-up comedian and actor who became known under his stage name Paul Panzer .
life and work
Tappert grew up in Nörvenich , has lived in Cologne since the mid-1990s and, after completing an apprenticeship as a welder, studied music and media education there.
Tappert became known to a larger audience as Paul Panzer through his well over 800 recorded joke calls , which were broadcast on various radio stations such as B. radio ffn , RPR1 , Hit Radio FFH , Radio Hamburg , Radio Köln , 89.0 RTL , 104.6 RTL , Antenne 1 , 100'5 Das Hitradio or Dresden 103.5 can be broadcast. His trademarks are a distinctive but inconsistent speech error ( pronouncing the "s" and "z" laterally ), language disorders (separating words incorrectly and emphasizing them incorrectly), the Germanization of foreign language terms, a remarkable naivety and floral shirts. Characteristic are his greeting “Panzer, I welcome you”, followed by “This is about the following” and “How do we stay now?” As well as the long-pronounced confirmation “Rrrichtiiig”.
The character Paul Panzer has a wife named Hilde, son Bolle, daughter Susaska, a brother who loves chainsaws (both the work and the tools) and the neighbor Mr. Latz. A fixed stylistic element in the calls are loud queries to people who are supposed to be in the background (e.g. Mrs. Hilde, son Bolle). The aim is to drive the interlocutor into despair in order to entertain the radio audience. The victims of his most famous telephone pranks are the fictional characters "Roofing Master Benether" (spoken and played by Michael Filla) and the Hungarian sculptor "Szabo", whom he called several times, unlike other victims. In other phone calls he tries to get kittens to steam for his Chinese restaurant or to announce the launch of his self-made, six-meter New Year's Eve rocket to NASA . Calls were also made to the “Gaststätte zur F104” in Kerpen - Niederbolheim near Cologne, where Germany's first Paul Panzer fan club is located. In addition to "Paul Panzer", Dieter Tappert produced various other comedy series, including more than 200 episodes of "Die Baulöwen", which revolve around a three-man construction team who experience new adventures every day. A best-of CD was created from the “Baulöwen”.
Dieter Tappert has been performing as a stand-up comedian all over Germany since 2005. His first solo program was called "Heimatabend Deluxe". He showed this program in his first own television comedy on November 24, 2006 on RTL , title: Paul Panzer-Heimatabend Deluxe . In April 2008 the Heimatabend Deluxe was recorded with great effort in the Frankfurt Jahrhunderthalle, only to be released as a double DVD in October 2008 and to be broadcast again very successfully in two parts on RTL.
Dieter Tappert received the German Comedy Award on October 10, 2006 as best newcomer. In 2007, Paul Panzer 33 was nominated for the Comedy Prize as the best comedy show.
Dieter Tappert presented six episodes of the comedy show Paul Panzers 33 as Paul Panzer on RTL every Friday . In May 2007, the pilot episode of his second program The Most Unbelievable Stories ran on RTL . In January 2008 RTL showed the comedy Crazy Race IV , in which he played himself.
Together with Mario Barth, Tappert wrote the screenplay for the film Mannersache , in which he plays the second leading role alongside Mario Barth. Here he appears for the first time under his real name. The film was shot in Berlin and was released in cinemas on March 19, 2009. Since the beginning of 2009 Tappert was with his new stage program Endlich Freizeit - What a stress! on tour . The stage program Hart portbord followed in 2011 .
Since January 2011, Dieter Tappert and Kaya Yanar can be seen on RTL in the program Stars at Work , in which celebrities pursue unfamiliar professional activities. From the beginning of 2013 he moderated the show alone. He has also appeared as a guest on programs by other comedians. Since 2016 he has been on the quiz show Who knows that? in the first to the prominent guests with the most appearances.
