Zellerndorf is a market town with 2,425 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Hollabrunn district in Lower Austria .
geography
Zellerndorf is located in the Weinviertel in Lower Austria in the "Retzer Land" in the immediate vicinity of the cities of Retz and Pulkau . The area of the market town covers 41.15 square kilometers. 1.47 percent of the area is forested.

From 1991 to 2001 the population grew due to immigration. Since then, the population has been falling again, as both the birth balance and the migration balance are negative.

In 2001 there were 60 non-agricultural workplaces, agricultural and forestry operations according to the 1999 survey 247. According to the 2001 census, the number of people in employment at home was 1151. In 2001, the activity rate was 44.39 percent.
Because of the fertile slopes, viticulture is also important. At the Wartberg north of the village there is a large quarry .

- Rail: Zellerndorf has a train station on the Nordwestbahn . The Pulkau Valley Railway , which started in Zellerndorf, has been closed.
