Dietrich Eugen Philipp von Bornstedt
Dietrich Eugen Philipp von Bornstedt (born June 11, 1726 in Letzlingen , † February 13, 1793 in Magdeburg ) was a Prussian lieutenant general and chief of infantry regiment No. 20 .
Military career
Bornstedt came in 1742 to the Infantry Regiment "Knobelsdorf" No. 27 . There he became an ensign on April 22, 1744 . He then took part in the Second Silesian War and fought in the Battle of Kesselsdorf . On July 30, 1746 he became second lieutenant and on June 21, 1756 prime lieutenant . During the Seven Years' War he took part in the battles near Lobositz , Prague , Leuthen , Zorndorf and Torgau . On September 10, 1768 he became captain and company commander . On September 20, 1767 he became major , on July 7, 1775 lieutenant colonel . He then took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession . He became a colonel on July 1, 1779 . On September 8, 1872, he became the commander of Infantry Regiment No. 27. On March 11, 1786, he became Major General , and on March 1, 1786, he received the Infantry Regiment "Below" No. 20. On January 2, 1793, he became Lieutenant General. He died shortly afterwards in Magdeburg.

His parents were Kaspar Philipp von Bornstedt (* February 12, 1683; † 1764), royal forest master in the Altmark and his wife Sophie Dorothe von Naumann († October 26, 1792).
Dietrich Eugen Philipp von Bornstedt was married to Johanne Eleonore Wesig (* 1743 - 23 January 1823). The couple had the following children:
