Dietrich Voigtberger (born April 4, 1941 in Gera ; † December 17, 1988 in Berlin ) was a German economist and politician. He was a university professor and an official of the GDR CDU .

Life

After attending elementary school, the son of a commercial employee graduated from the extended secondary school in Gera , where he graduated from high school in 1959 . After three years of service in the National People's Army , he studied economics from 1962 to 1967 at the Berlin School of Economics (HfÖ) and graduated with a diploma. He then worked for three years as a research assistant at the HfÖ. In 1969 he received his doctorate as Dr. oec. After his assistantship, he took over the management of the science organization department at the Institute for Automatic Control in Berlin from 1970 to 1973 . From 1973 to 1981 he was a senior research assistant at the HfÖ. His habilitation took place in 1979. He was then appointed to a lectureship at the HfÖ. In 1986 he was appointed associate professor .

In 1966 Voigtberger joined the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU). In October 1970 he became chairman of the CDU district association Berlin-Lichtenberg and in February 1981 chairman of the CDU district executive committee in Berlin (successor to Ursula Raurin-Kutzner ). Since the 15th party congress of the CDU in October 1982 he was a member of the main board and the presidium of the CDU. In 1971 he was elected a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR . In the People's Chamber he was a member of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy and since 1986 deputy chairman of the Interparliamentary Group. He held all functions until his death in 1988. His grave is in the Karlshorster and Neue Friedrichsfelder Friedhof in Berlin-Karlshorst .
