Dirk Aleschus
Dirk Aleschus (born September 16, 1972 in Neubrandenburg ) is a German opera singer ( bass ). His vocal subject is the serious bass (E – f ') and the play bass (F – f sharp').
Life
Dirk Aleschus trained as a veterinary technician and was a sought-after elephant trainer throughout Europe. In this profession he worked for example at the Schönbrunn Zoo or at the Circus Krone before continuing his musical and vocal training, which he had already started at school. From 1998 to 2002 Aleschus studied at the Hamburg Mozarteum . He completed his vocal and scenic lessons with Marianne Fischer-Kupfer and continued with Brigitte Fassbaender during his first permanent engagement at the Tyrolean State Theater in Innsbruck . He was accompanied by Kurt Moll , who died in 2017 , while studying the games .
He made his stage debut in Annaberg-Buchholz , as Sarastro ( The Magic Flute ), as Osmin ( The Abduction from the Seraglio ) and as Falstaff ( The funny women of Windsor ).
In 2007 he accepted an engagement at the Innsbruck State Theater, which ran until 2010. From 2011 to 2013 a permanent engagement followed in Detmold. Further engagements took him to Altenburg / Gera , Bad Hersfeld , Cottbus , Danzig , Dessau , Freiburg im Breisgau , Görlitz , Cologne , Linz , Paris , Posen , Rostock , Saint Petersburg , Ulan-Ude , the National Theater Weimar , the Zurich Opera House , the Volksoper Vienna , the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome and to the Tyrolean Festival Erl and the Opera Festival St. Margarethen .
In the summer of 2014 he was at the Salzburg Festival as a notary and Baron Ochs auf Lerchenau in Der Rosenkavalier in a production by Harry Kupfer and under the musical direction of Franz Welser-Möst .
Dirk Aleschus owes his stage presence not only to his powerful bass, but also to his height of 2.10 meters, which makes the roles of the giants in Richard Wagner's opera cycle The Ring of the Nibelung seem tailor-made .
