The Doda District ( Urdu :ضلع ڈوڈہ) is a district in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir .
The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Doda . In 2007 the northern part was detached and since then has formed the newly established Kishtwar district .
The Doda district extends over the mountainous region of the Pir Panjal , where the Chanab cuts through it. The district has an area of 2306 km² and 409,936 inhabitants (2011 census). The population density is 178 inhabitants per square kilometer.
The district is divided into 4 Tehsils : Bhaderwah, Doda, Gandoh and Thathri.
