Dombarowski ( Russian Домбаровский ) is a settlement (possjolok) in Orenburg Oblast ( Russia ) with 8,614 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010). The place is the administrative seat of the 3620 km² large Rajon Dombarowski and lies about 90 kilometers southeast of Orsk and 100 kilometers northeast of the Kazakh city of Chromtau . The border with Kazakhstan runs 12 km south of Dombarowski.
In the north of the village there is a railway line that connects Dombarowski to Orsk and the northeastern town of Jasny .
About three kilometers north of the city was a military airfield with a runway about 2.5 kilometers long.
From 1939 to 1999 Dombarowski had the status of an urban-type settlement .
