Dominik Buch

Dominik Buch (born May 10, 1988 in Bochum ) is a German actor and musician .

Life

Dominik Buch grew up in his hometown Bochum. After graduating from high school, he did his community service in the form of a voluntary social year in culture at the Schauspielhaus Bochum , where he performed several times as a musician.

He made his film debut in 2007 in the ARD production A late girl with Fritzi Haberlandt and Matthias Schweighöfer at Frederick Lau's side and directed by Hendrik Handloegten . Among other things, he was involved in the crime series Wilsberg and series such as The Last Bull , SOKO Cologne and Heiter bis tödlich .

Dominik Buch plays the role of the paraplegic Ruben in the dramedy series Club der rote Bänder , which was awarded the Grimme Prize and the German Television Prize, among others . Buch and his colleagues ( Tim Oliver Schultz , Luise Befort , Matthias Brenner and others) also won the German Actor Award 2016 in the “Best Ensemble” category for the first season of the series.

With the movie TOTEM Dominik Buch was nominated at the Venice International Film Festival for the best film in the “26. Settimana internazionale della critica ”. Buch was represented with other cinema productions at various national and international film festivals.

As a singer and songwriter, he tours Germany with his band “HörBuch” and plays at festivals. In the WDR format “Sounds like Heimat” he worked as a songwriter to explore foreign places and write a song about them.

Dominik Buch also works as a lecturer for drama, voice acting and the music & media department at the Akademie Deutsche Pop . He also works as a director and artistic director in projects with young people and refugees.
