The ESL One New York in 2018 was one of the ESL hosted a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament, which on 26 September 2018 to 30 September 2018 at the Barclays Center in New York took place. The eight participating teams played for a total of $ 250,000 in prize money. The winner of the tournament was mousesports . The tournament was part of the Intel Grand Slam . In addition, the final of the MSI Gaming Area ( MGA ) took place at the same time , in which the Kazakh team AVANGAR won the title.

format

The eight participating teams were divided into two groups according to the world rankings. The group stage is played in a double elimination system, with all games being best-of-three games. The two best teams in each group will advance to the play-offs, which will be played in the usual single-elimination system. The semi-finals are decided by best-of-three games, the winner is determined in the grand final by a best-of-five game.
