Ioann "Edward" Sukharjew (also Sukhariev , Ukrainian Іоанн Сухарєв ; born December 28, 1987 in Kharkiv , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian Counter-Strike player. He currently plays the game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for the Ukrainian organization Natus Vincere . Until 2012 he played Counter-Strike 1.6 . Sucharjew is one of the most famous players on the Counter-Strike scene and is considered to have won more than 50 1 vs. 2 situations as one of the world's best clutch players.

Career

Sucharjew first appeared in 2001 with the Cybercity team , with whom he celebrated his first successes at smaller events in the Kharkiv region . From 2004 to 2007 Edward played for pro100 . With this team, the Ukrainian represented his country at the World Cyber ​​Games 2005 and 2006. In August 2007 Sukharyev and Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko joined the Russian organization Virtus.pro . The greatest success under VP was the victory at the Intel Challenge Cup 2007 in Moscow . At this tournament, which is made up of international teams such as Made in Brazil or Alternate aTTaX , his team won $ 20,000 in prize money.

After joining a team that from February 2010 called itself Natus Vincere , Sucharjew made the leap to the top of the world. His new team achieved three victories in 2010 at the established competitions ESL Intel Extreme Masters , Electronic Sports World Cup and World Cyber ​​Games . Sucharjew and his team switched to the new game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive at the end of 2012 . In the tournaments of 2013, which had little prize money, Natus Vincere had to admit defeat to the ninjas in pajamas who were dominant at the time . In July 2013, Edward joined the Astana Dragons . With this team, Sukharyev reached second place on the seventh edition of the SLTV StarSeries and third place at the Electronic Sports World Cup 2013 until the separation from this team in November 2013.

In December 2013 Ioann "Edward" Sucharjew was accepted back to Natus Vincere together with the Slovak Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács . In 2014, Edward won the ninth finals of the SLTV StarSeries and the first edition of the game show CS: GO League with Na'Vi . In addition to winning the IEM X - San Jose , Na'Vi reached the final of the major DreamHack Cluj-Napoca 2015 and the final of the ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 . These three tournaments alone brought the Ukrainian personal prize money of more than 30,000 US dollars.
