Ebbenhouten Schoen
The Ebbenhouten Schoen ( French : Soulier d'ébène; German : Ebony Shoe ) is an award that has been given to the best African football player or player of African origin in the first division , the highest Belgian division, since 1992 .
The winner will be chosen by a jury consisting of the coaches of Division 1A, the Belgian national coach and selected sports journalists .
In addition, a deserving personality from Belgian football is appointed every year, who is also entitled to vote. In 2009, 2010 and 2011, the former Belgian international Georges Heylens received this honor.
The current title holder in 2020 is the Congolese Dieumerci Mbokani from Royal Antwerp .
