Michy Batshuayi Tunga (born October 2, 1993 in Brussels ) is a Belgian football player . He is under contract with Chelsea and has been a Belgian international since 2015 .

Club career

Standard Liege

In his youth, Batshuayi played for five different clubs, including FC Brussels and RSC Anderlecht . In 2008 he moved to Standard Liège's youth team , which he left in 2011 and was promoted to the first team. He made his debut for the first team and in the league on February 20, 2010 in the 1: 4 defeat against KAA Gent . In the Champions League qualifier against FC Zurich on July 27, 2011, which ended 1: 1, he made his debut in the Champions League; on October 20, 2010 he made his debut in the goalless draw against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League . Olympique Marseille

National team career

Batshuayi took part in the 2018 World Cup with the national team. In his first appearance in the second game against Tunisia, he scored his first goal with a 5: 1 (final score 5: 2) after several missed chances.

Because his parents come from the DR Congo , Batshuayi could have played for their national team. Although his Congolese ancestry is very important to him, he decided to appear for Belgium. His brother Aaron Leya Iseka is also a professional soccer player.
