Jake-Liam Clarke-Salter (born September 22, 1997 in Carshalton ) is an English football player. He plays in the central defender position.

Career

youth

Jake Clarke-Salter has played for Chelsea since he was 9 years old . He made his U18 debut in December 2013 while playing in the U16. His first goal he scored two months later in a home game against Arsenal. Despite many long-term injuries, he had asserted himself in the youth team a season earlier. He sat on the FA Youth Cup squad in the semi-finals and kept his place in central defense and helped win the trophy.

He was named as the U18 captain in the 2014/15 season and played very well in the first half of the season which helped promote a promotion to the U21 squad. With his success in the FA Youth Cup and the 2014/15 UEFA Youth League , he earned the enthusiasm of critics and joined the first-team squad on a postseason tour in Thailand and Australia.

With Andreas Christensen on loan, Jake Clarke-Salter was promoted to the first team's squad in the 2015/16 season, but he continued to play at youth level and win the third FA Youth Cup in a row. There are only seven players who have won the FA Youth Cup three times. A second UEFA Youth League winners medal also followed.

He made his professional debut in April 2016 in a 4-0 win over Aston Villa .
