Kenedy (born February 8, 1996 in Santa Rita do Sapucaí , Minas Gerais ; real name Robert Kenedy Nunes do Nascimento ) is a Brazilian soccer player . The left defender is under contract with Chelsea .

Career

societies

Kenedy played for Fluminense FC when he was young and moved up to the first team for the 2013 season . On August 1, 2013 (10th matchday), he debuted at the 1: 0 win at home against Cruzeiro EC in the Series A . With the 1-0 winner on May 24, 2014 (7th matchday) in the home game against EC Bahia , he scored his first goal in the senior division.

In August 2015, Kenedy moved to Chelsea in the English Premier League . On September 23, 2015, he scored his first competitive goal for the Blues in the League Cup in a 4-1 away win against FC Walsall .

At the end of August 2016, Kenedy was loaned out to league rivals FC Watford for a year as planned , but returned to London in mid-December 2016 after only one competitive game.

After his return, Kenedy only appeared for Chelsea in five FA Cup and League Cup games in the 2017/18 season . He was then awarded to Newcastle United for a year and a half in January 2018 . By the end of the 2017/18 season , Kenedy had appeared in 13 Premier League games (all from the start) under head coach Rafael Benítez , scoring a brace in a 3-0 win against Southampton FC . In July 2018, the loan was extended for the 2018/19 season. Kenedy scored one goal in 25 league games (14 times from the start).

For the season 2019/20 returned Kenedy to Chelsea back. After he was not used under the new head coach Frank Lampard on the first four match days, he moved to Getafe FC on loan to the Spanish Primera División in early September until the end of the season .

National team

Kenedy took in 2013 with the Brazilian U17 national team at the U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in part. He was used in five games and failed with his team in the quarter-finals to Mexico with 10:11 on penalties .

In early 2015 , Kenedy played with the U20 team at the U20 South American Championship in Uruguay . In the third group game, he scored a 1-0 lead in a 2-0 win over Venezuela . He finished the tournament with his team in fourth place .
