Sofiane Hanni ( Arabic سفيان هاني, DMG Sufyān Hānī ; Born December 29, 1990 in Ivry-sur-Seine ) is a French-Algerian soccer player who plays in midfield for Spartak Moscow and the Algerian national soccer team.
Career
France
Hanni was born in Ivry-sur-Seine in 1986 as the son of Algerian immigrants. He learned to play football here as a street footballer and in the youth teams of US Ivry and AC de Boulogne-Billancourt . In 2005 he was discovered by the talent hunters of FC Nantes and transferred to their youth. In 2009 he was accepted into the professional squad at this club and completed five league matches in two seasons.
Turkey
For the 2011/12 season he moved from FC Nantes to the Turkish second division club Kayseri Erciyesspor . Here he was one of the shooting stars of the season with ten goals in 32 league games. During the season he celebrated the second division championship with his team and thus direct promotion to the Süper Lig .
In the last week of the Turkish summer transfer period, Hanni was loaned to the second division side Balıkesirspor . This change did not take place later. After the move to Balıkesirspor failed, Hanni moved to Ankaraspor and will work here with Osman Özköylü , his last coach at Erciyesspor.
Belgium
In the summer of 2014, when his contract ended, he left Turkey and moved to the Belgian First Division at KV Mechelen . After playing there for two years, he moved to RSC Anderlecht . There he received a four-year contract.
Russia
At the end of January 2018, Hanni left RSC Anderlecht and switched to the Russian club Spartak Moscow , which plays in the Premier League , the top Russian league, with a new contract term of three years .
Qatar
For the 2019/20 season he moved to Al-Gharafa Sports Club in Qatar , which plays in the top division there, the Qatar Stars League .
National team
Hanni was a member of the Algerian national team at the Africa Cup of 2017 and played in two of three group matches. After the group stage, Algeria was eliminated from this tournament. He also played in three of four group matches in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup . As the last of his qualifying group, Algeria was eliminated.
Hanni had his last international match so far on March 27, 2018 as part of a friendly against Iran.
