Edoardo Ballerini (born March 20, 1970 in Los Angeles ) is an Italian - American actor , screenwriter , film director and film producer .

life and career

Ballerini was born in Los Angeles to Julia and Luigi Ballerini, a Milan- born poet and professor at UCLA . After studying at Wesleyan University and training as an actor, including at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York, he had his first role in an episode of Law & Order in 1995 . Two years later he starred in the comedy The Pest - Hunt for the Chameleon . He had his first major roles in 2000 in Romeo Must Die with Jet Li and in 2001 in Dinner Rush . In 2003 he wrote the script for a short film about Rudolph Valentino , a well-known silent film star of Italian origin, in which he also directed and appeared himself. Ballerini, who gained his first experience on the theater stage at the age of ten, was later involved in several theater productions as an actor. In addition to numerous appearances in television series, he often appears as a narrator in audio books .

The bilingual and therefore fluent Italian-speaking Ballerini dubbed his role in the Italian version of Dinner Rush himself. He has a residence in New York City and Los Angeles.
