Edward Kłosiński (born January 2, 1943 in Warsaw , † January 5, 2008 in Milanówek ) was a Polish cameraman .

Life

Edward Kłosiński successfully completed his camera training at the Łódź Film School in 1967 . In 1972 Kłosiński made his cinema debut; In 1973 he worked with Krzysztof Zanussi for the first time . Andrzej Wajda first engaged him in 1974 for his film The Promised Land .

Since working with Wajda in the 1970s, Kłosiński has been one of the outstanding Polish cameramen who also had international success. In addition to film work, he was also responsible as a lighting director for theater productions by Andrzej Wajda, Magda Umer , Andrzej Domalik and Krystyna Janda . In Germany he worked regularly with Dieter Wedel . He was married to actress Krystyna Janda.

Edward died in Kłosiński 5 January 2008 Milanówek of lung cancer . He was buried in the Evangelical Cemetery in Warsaw .
