Location of the community-free area Eichen in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach

The community-free area Eichen is located in the Upper Palatinate district of Amberg-Sulzbach .

The 2.78 km² large state forest lies between Sulzbach-Rosenberg , Poppenricht , Ammerthal and Illschwang . The area is completely forested . The federal highway 85 runs a little bit through the area in the north and essentially demarcates it to the north. The highest point is at 445  m above sea level. NN of the book Knock ( 49 ° 27 '29.59 "  N , 11 ° 45' 36.4"  O ).
