The Eifelleiter is a 52.8 km long hiking trail in Rhineland-Palatinate between Bad Breisig on the Rhine and Adenau in the Eastern High Eifel (Hocheifel) . The hiking trail was set up in 2015 and certified as a premium hiking trail. In three stages it connects three typical landscapes: the Middle Rhine region , the Vulkaneifel and the Eastern High Eifel with the Hohe Acht .
Institutional involvement
In charge of the Eifel ladder is the Brohltal community , through whose territory a large part of the route leads. The creation of hiking trails was funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) as part of the "Agriculture, Environmental Measures, Rural Development" (PAUL) development program of the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for the Environment, Agriculture, Food, Viticulture and Forests .
