A Cosmo & Wanda Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner! (Original title: A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner! ) Is an American Nickelodeon original movie based on the cartoon series Cosmo and Wanda - When Elves Help . The film premiered on July 9, 2011 in the US and was broadcast in Germany on October 8, 2011.

The film begins 13 years after the acts in the series. And although Timmy is celebrating his 23rd birthday, he still behaves like a child so that he doesn't lose Cosmo, Wanda and Poof as his helping elves. This annoys the elven supervisor Jean-Claude van Ramme. However, he cannot do anything about it as long as he behaves like a child and does not fall in love. For this reason, Timmy is still in the fourth grade of his archenemy Denzel Crocker, who is still trying to catch Timmy's elves to prove their existence.
During a bicycle tour, Timmy comes to the popular Dimmsdale Park, the end of which is now threatened, as the oil magnate Hugh J. Magnate Jr. wants to destroy it for a multi-storey hotel. But a stranger prevents the tree from being felled by chaining herself to it. To the great surprise of Timmy and his elves, it is Trudy, the girl who was once fanatically in love with him and who has developed into a beautiful young woman with a great deal of environmental awareness. To save them, Timmy uses the magic of his elves to switch off the excavators and chainsaws and to embarrass the magnates.
Magnate feels humiliated when he receives a call from a stranger who turns out to be Mr. Crocker. He wants to meet the oil tycoon in a restaurant to make him a business proposal. Crocker plans to build a new type of elf trapping device and a cage that will redirect the elves' magical powers to someone other than Timmy. However, he lacks the money, which is why Crocker Magnate offers the magic of the elves in return. Although the teacher and his statements make him very skeptical, Magnate agrees, since he has nothing more to lose.
Meanwhile, Trudy and Timmy get closer, which worries Cosmo and Wanda because Timmy is about to fall in love with Trudy. But since her godfather wants a day with her, there is nothing they can do. But they decide to sabotage the romance. In a restaurant they both turn into human waiters and pour Trudy a key of spaghetti and the tomato sauce. Not pleased, Timmy reproaches the two of them and wants the park back to its old state.
When Timmy Trudy shows the newly bloomed park, she is very happy about it, but also skeptical about how he managed to do it in such a short time. There is almost a decisive kiss on her favorite tree, but Timmy falls from the tree due to a distraction. Trudy thinks this is just another excuse for Timmy to reject her. Annoyed, she leaves disappointed Timmy behind and falls into a trap from Magnate, who immediately kidnaps her. Cosmo, Wanda and Poof also get caught when Crocker catches them by surprise.
Timmy is made aware of the kidnapping by his classmates. With the help of telepathy, he also knows that his elves have also been hit. He immediately sets out to save all four, but is stopped by Jean-Claude van Ramme, who desperately wants to fall in love with Timmy. Due to an accident he shoots the love arrow at Vickie, who immediately falls in love with the elf overseer and drives him to escape. Only with the help of AJ and Chester does Timmy manage to get to Magnate's headquarters.
There he and Crocker actually manage to transfer the magic of the three elves to the oil magnate, who not only deceives Crocker, but also torments the elves with nonsensical wishes. Timmy has meanwhile reached the laboratory, but is attacked by a life-size robot figure. Only when he removes the batteries from the robot can he stop him and save Trudy. However, there is nothing he can do for the elves who are near death due to Magnate's madness. Timmy only has one thing to do to save her, he gives himself up to his feelings for Trudy, kisses her and thereby achieves the status of an adult. With this he can save his elves and snatch strength from Magnate, but he loses his godparents. Magnate is admitted to a clinic. His assistant Janice then takes over the company, but relies on environmentally friendly solar energy.
Timmy and Trudy escape, and Timmy mourns the loss of his friends. But Jean-Claude von Ramme has a big surprise for him. Due to its longstanding ties to Cosmo, Wanda and Poof as well as the countless rescues of the elven world, the Elven Council decided on the Timmy Turner special paragraph. It says that Timmy can keep his elves as long as he doesn't want anything that gives him an advantage. Inspired by this, Timmy and Trudy decide to drive the elves through the country in a van and help people who are really in need.

Production for the film began in July 2010, when Nickelodeon announced that it would produce a television film about the series. The main roles of Timmy and Trudy went to Drake Bell and Daniella Monet . Daran Norris , Susanne Blakeslee and Tara Strong were hired for the synchronized roles of Cosmo, Wanda and Poof . The role of the schemer went to Steven Weber .
The screenplay for the feature film was written by Butch Hartman and Scott Fellows . Butch Hartmann is also responsible for the animated series Cosmo & Wanda , and Scott Fellows is the screenwriter of the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush .
Synchronization and actors

Audience ratings
The film reached 5.8 million viewers when it premiered on July 9, 2011 in the United States . These are the second best ratings in the series after the Wünschologie trilogy .
Reviews
The US non-profit organization Common Sense , which primarily evaluates from the point of view of child-friendliness , wrote that the content was okay for children. She also highlighted the story of a man who responsibly strives to make changes in his life. However, the film is more for entertainment than to learn something.
Judge Paul Pritchard of DVD Verdict described the film as "not entirely terrible". The film, however, consists of a poorly worked out plot that is told in a way that removes any tension.
