Norbert Krabbe is an unemployed man who enriches his life with competitions and makes it bearable. One day he wins the main prize in a competition, a fjord in Norway . The gambling addict decides to visit the fjord named after him on site, but unfortunately not only does he lack the necessary money for the trip - he also suffers from a pronounced motion sickness, which already makes the tram sick. Nevertheless, he tries to make his way to the far north with his daughter Ute and without money.

Shortly afterwards his wife Birgit found out that he had won € 500,000 in another competition, but had to pick it up in person within ten days. When she cannot reach Norbert by phone - he has exchanged his mobile phone for a train ticket - she follows him by taxi. Norbert, Ute and Birgit reach the city of Bergen in various ways by train, ship, on foot, hitchhiking and Vélosolex , where an unfriendly department store employee from Herne, Horst Schlämmer from Grevenbroich and an Ulrike Lange from Darmstadt also arrive.

Since Norbert goes north on the ship under a false name, but his wife also has a weakness for false identities (Jaqueline, Chantal from Cologne, Desiree from Düsseldorf), there are numerous mix-ups on the ship.

After many entanglements, the family finally reunites at Norbert Krabbe Fjord .

Reviews

“Turbulent and entertaining (TV) comedy of confusion based on an (audio) book by cabaret artist Hape Kerkeling. A conversation that is easy and at the same time cheeky in a positive sense beyond the clothes. "

“[...] a failed film by and with Hape Kerkeling. The cinematic copy of an audio book doesn't get beyond foolishness. "
