Petra Zieser
Petra Zieser (born December 23, 1957 in Munich ) is a German theater and film actress .
Life
Zieser studied theater studies at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and acting with Wolfgang Büttner . She had her first stage engagement at the Munich Schauburg . There she was noticed by Volker Ludwig , who brought her to the Grips Theater in Berlin . She belonged to his ensemble from 1982 to 1988 and celebrated her breakthrough here at the premiere of the musical Line 1 . She then became a permanent member of the ensemble at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg . In 1992 she returned to Berlin, where she has been working as a freelance actress ever since. Her best-known films include Line 1 by Reinhard Hauff , No Pardon by Hape Kerkeling and Enlightenment Guaranteed by Doris Dörrie .
Petra Zieser is a member of the German Film Academy and represented the Acting Section on the Academy's board from 2013 to 2019. Before 2013, Zieser was a member of the deputy board, in which she was re-elected in 2019.
