The 8th ice hockey world championships of the U18 women of the International Ice Hockey Federation IIHF were the ice hockey world championships of the year 2015 in the age group of the under-eighteen year olds (U18). A total of 20 national teams took part in the three tournaments of the top division and division I and qualification for the same between January 4th and 25th, 2015 .

The U18 World Cup of the top Division took place from 5 to 12 January 2015, American Buffalo in the State of New York instead. The games were played in two halls of the HarborCenter with a capacity of up to 1,500 seats. A total of 13,788 spectators attended the 21 tournament games, which corresponded to an average of 657 per game.

Eight national teams took part in the tournament, playing in two performance-graded groups of four teams each. The two groups are composed according to the positions of the national teams at the 2014 World Cup according to the following key:

After the group games in the preliminary round, the group first and second in group A qualified directly for the semi-finals. The third and fourth in the same group reached the quarter-finals. In group B, this applied to group first and second. The teams in the quarterfinals each played a qualifying game for participation in the semi-finals. The third and fourth in Group B contested a best-of-three round for seventh place and relegation to Division IA.
