history

In the Kingdom of Bavaria , Eismannsdorf with the wasteland Schmidhof / Schmitthöf belonged to the municipality of Premerzhofen in the Upper Palatinate district / district court of Riedenburg. In 1836 the hamlet consisted of eight residential buildings. On December 1, 1875, an official census showed 34 buildings, 36 residents and 54 head of cattle. Around 1900, 44 people lived in Eismannsdorf's eight residential buildings. The children went to school in Breitenbrunn. In 1925, with the same number of residential buildings, the number of residents was almost unchanged at 47, as was the case in 1950 (49 residents).

With the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Premerzhofen was dissolved and the parts of the municipality were incorporated into the market Breitenbrunn and thus Eismannsdorf in the district of Neumarkt. In 1987 the district of Eismannsdorf had 48 residents with eight residential buildings.

Church conditions

Eismannsdorf has belonged to the Catholic parish Breitenbrunn in the diocese of Eichstätt since ancient times . It is known that the village chapel "Mariä Visitation" was built in the 19th century, received a tower in 1845, was expanded in 1892, and in 1937 was in good condition, but inadequate in terms of space. From 1894, worship was celebrated in it once a year. The Chapel Foundation was established in 1911. There were 39 Catholics in the village in 1836, and 47 Catholics in 1937; they attended the service in the Breitenbrunn branch church St. Alban zu Premerzhofen.
