history

Eckerding does not appear in early lists because the hamlet was always considered to be part of Hamberg.

Towards the end of the Old Reich , around 1800, Eckerding consisted of five properties belonging to the Velburg office , namely two half-farms belonging to the subjects Rieppel and Schuderer, the Viretelhof Dietz and two small estates; The shepherd's house was owned by the Hamburg community.

In the new Kingdom of Bavaria , Hamberg formed a tax district in the Parsberg district court , to which Eckerding belonged in addition to Hamberg and Schöndorf. With the municipality edict of 1818 it was 1821 Rural Municipality Hamberg. In 1875, 30 of the 273 inhabitants of this community came from the hamlet of Eckerding, which consisted of 18 buildings; the herd of cattle in the hamlet at that time was 4 horses and 22 cattle. The community remained unchanged in its existence until the completion of the regional reform in Bavaria , when the community, which had been in the Parsberg district up to that point , was transferred to Markt Breitenbrunn and thus to the district of Neumarkt on January 1, 1978.

Church conditions

Eckerding has belonged since ancient times with Hamberg and Schöndorf to the Catholic parish of Breitenbrunn in the diocese of Eichstätt , whose parish church had been incorporated into the Bergen monastery since 1406/10 through a gift from Hadmar von Laaber . When the Duchy of Palatinate-Neuburg converted to Lutheranism , Eckerding, Schöndorf and Hamberg were parish in 1582 and incorporated into the Daßwang parish, which had been Lutheran since 1543 . Even after the Counter-Reformation in 1618, the three places remained in the now Catholic parish of Daßwang, where a new parish church was built in 1642. Around 1937 there were 38 Catholics in Eckerding and no people of any other faith. Effective September 1, 2013, was Expositur Hamberg with Ecker thing and Schöndorf from the parish Daßwang back into the parish Breitenbrunn umgepfarrt .
