Emilio Pomàrico

Emilio Pomàrico (born June 17, 1954 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine conductor and composer of Italian descent.

Pomàrico studied in Milan and attended master classes with Franco Ferrara at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena (1979–80) and with Sergiu Celibidache (1981). In Italy he has conducted radio and symphony orchestras such as the Orchestra Sinfonica della Radio di Milano, Torino e Roma , the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana and the Orchestra Regionale Toscana as well as the orchestras of the opera houses Teatro La Fenice in Venice , Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Trieste and the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma .
