Eric André (born April 4, 1983 in Boca Raton , Florida ) is an American actor and comedian with roots in Haiti .

life and career

Eric André was born in Boca Raton in 1983 to a Haitian and an American. After successfully completing the Dreyfoos School of Arts in 2001 , he then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston , where he played the double bass . In 2005 he graduated with a bachelor's degree .

André has been an actor since 2007. He mainly appears in US sitcoms , including The Big Bang Theory or Zeke and Luther . He gained fame through his recurring roles in the series Apartment 23 as Mark Reynolds and as Deke in 2 Broke Girls .

The Eric Andre Show , which he invented and presented, has been running on Adult Swim since 2012. It belongs to the surreal comedy genre and parodies classic late-night shows from the USA. André has appeared in the Man Seeking Woman series since 2015 . 2018 he borrowed the figure of the demon Luci in Netflix - animated series Disenchantment his voice.

Personal

Since 2016 he had a relationship with actress Rosario Dawson . They split in November 2017.

André practices Transcendental Meditation .
