Eric Sindermann (born July 29, 1988 in East Berlin , German Democratic Republic ) is a former German handball player and fashion designer with his own fashion label “Dr. Sindsen ”.

Eric Sindermann was born in Berlin and grew up in Berlin-Karow . His father Thomas Sindermann was the former head of the Berlin ( GDR ) homicide squad . His uncle Michael Sindermann was a journalist for the newspaper " Neues Deutschland ". His uncle Peter Sindermann was an actor . His grandfather Horst Sindermann was a politician ( SED ) and president of the People's Chamber . Eric Sindermann is divorced and has one daughter.

Handball player

Eric Sindermann began his sporting career at PSV Tegel Berlin. He attended the Werner Seelenbinder Sports School in Hohenschönhausen. With the aim of playing in the Bundesliga, he moved to the youth team of SG Flensburg-Handewitt at the age of 14 . After two years, the coach suspended him for the new season after an argument. He joined the HSG Tarp-Wanderup . Sindermann played in the A-Jugend and also sniffed the first men who were still playing in the Regionalliga Nord at the time. Due to assault during a game, he did not play until the end of the season. Nevertheless, he was the top scorer in the entire NOHV league, the top youth class at the time.

After a three-day trial training session with the then Bundesliga team ASV Hamm , the Westphalians signed a two-year contract with the Berliner. Due to fewer shares in the game, Sindermann quickly became dissatisfied and drew attention to himself through negative headlines away from the hall. Because of his short playing times, he criticized his coach Kay Rothenpieler in the newspaper. After only one season, the contract was canceled by mutual agreement.

For the new season Sindermann moved to SV Anhalt Bernburg in the 2nd division in Saxony-Anhalt .

After a good preparation and a lot of goals, Sindermann expected a lot for the coming season. Nevertheless, he was put in the stands by Heinz Prokop on the 1st match day . During an away game, after a dispute with Prokop, Sindermann left the team bus halfway through the route and took a taxi home. He was suspended from the team and moved to HSG Wolfen in the half series. There he already had a second game right .

He played an outstanding season in the 3rd division. With 19 goals in one game, he set a season record. Again a Bundesliga team came to him with a contract offer. Both parties had already agreed on a new contract, but Sindermann clashed with his teammate on the bus on the penultimate match day. His contract was terminated and the Bundesliga team withdrew from the contract offer.

Coach Gunter Funk brought Eric Sindermann to Thuringia . During the summer break of 2009, he signed a two-year contract with the then regional league team HSV Bad Blankenburg .

In 2011 a consultant put him in charge of the Qatari handball club al-Arabi . Here he got to know the dark side of sport. Contracts were not kept, money was only paid sporadically. Within Arabia he played in various clubs until he finally came to the Al Sadaka handball club in Lebanon . There he played in the Asia Champions League. In December 2011 Sindermann went to Romania to CS Minaur Baia Mare for 6 months .

In summer 2012 he moved to the Norwegian club Nøtterøy Håndball . He played on a team with Johnny Jensen for one season . Then he returned to Germany . He started training and played handball at SV Hermsdorf . A dropout occurred in a point game. Sindermann shot the ball in the stands and hit a spectator. He was then suspended for eight games. He ended his contract and went to Tunisia .

Sindermann received an offer from the Tunisian first division club Jeunesse Sportive de Chihia . After his contract ended, he returned to his home town of Berlin and played for MTV Altlandsberg . Due to physical complaints, Sindermann ended his sports career in 2014.

After a two-year break he played for SV Jahn Bad Freienwalde as an amateur. Then he ended his career.

Back in his hometown of Berlin-Karow , Sindermann began training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant . After completing his training, he founded the fashion label Dr. Sindsen.

Sindermann worked part-time in front of the camera in various TV formats. Since 2019 he can be seen at Berlin - Tag & Nacht , where he plays the role of "Kai" who works as a fitness trainer in the Bodyburn.
