Erik Anker (born October 15, 1903 in Halden , † August 15, 1994 there ) was a Norwegian sailor .

successes

Erik anchor was in 1928 in Amsterdam at the Olympic Games in the 6 meter class Olympic champion . He was part of the crew of the yacht Norna of the Norwegian Crown Prince Olav, steered by his father and skipper Johan Anker . The 6mR yacht achieved three victories in seven races, taking first place ahead of the Danish boat Hi-Hi with two wins and the Estonian boat Tutti V with one victory. In addition to Erik Anker, the crew of the victorious Norna also included the two clubmates from Kongelig Norsk Seilforening (KNS) Håkon Bryhn and the then Crown Prince Olav, later King Olav V of Norway .
