Paal Kaasen (born November 14, 1883 in Oslo ; † July 11, 1963 there ) was a Norwegian sailor .

Paal Kaasen awarded for Kongelig Norsk Seilforening sailed, was in 1920 in Antwerp at the Olympic Games in the 6-meter class after the International Rule of 1919 Olympic champion . In addition to Ingolf Rød, he was a crew member of the Jo under skipper Andreas Brecke , which had only one competitor with Léon Huybrechts' Belgian boat Tan-Fe-Pah . The Jo won the gold medal in three races . In the first race the yacht could not compete due to damage to the mast. She won the second and third races and took first place overall.
