Olle Erik Curys Åkerlund (born September 28, 1911 in Gothenburg , † February 4, 1978 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish sailor .

successes

Olle Åkerlund, who for the Kungliga Svenska Segelsällskapet sailed, was in 1932 in Los Angeles at the Olympic Games in the 6-meter class Olympic champion . He was a crew member of the boat Bissbi , led by skipper Tore Holm , which won all six races and thus took first place ahead of the only other two boats. The Americans finished all races in second place, the Canadians finished third. In addition to Åkerlund, Åke Bergqvist and Martin Hindorff were part of the Bissbi crew , which belonged to Åkerlund's father Erik.
