Gaston Thubé which for Sport Nautique de l'Ouest sailed, was in 1912 in Stockholm at the Olympic Games in the 6-meter class Olympic champion . He was the skipper of the Mac Miche , whose crew consisted of his two younger brothers Amédée and Jacques Thubé . In two races, the Mac Miche and the Danish boat Nurdug II took first and second place each, so that there was a jump-off for the overall victory between the two boats. The Mac Miche prevailed in the third race and finished the regatta in first place.
