Thomas Doodputlee McMeekin (born December 31, 1866 in Cachar , India , † October 24, 1946 in Chichester ) was a British sailor .

Thomas McMeekin, of the Royal Burnham Yacht Club and the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club sailed, was in 1908 in London at the Olympic Games in the 6-meter class Olympic champion . He was the owner and crew member of the Dormy , the rest of the crew consisted of skipper and ship designer Gilbert Laws and Charles Crichton . With two victories in the first two races, the overall victory was already certain ahead of time, as the best placement, including the number, was decisive for the placement. In the third race, the Dormy came third and finally finished the regatta in first place in front of the allot of Léon Huybrechts and the Guyoni of Henri Arthus .
