Ingolf Richard Rød (born October 2, 1889 in Tønsberg , † December 19, 1963 in Nøtterøy ) was a Norwegian sailor .

successes

Ingolf Rød awarded for Tønsberg Seilforening sailed, was in 1920 in Antwerp at the Olympic Games in the 6-meter class after the International Rule of 1919 Olympic champion . In addition to Paal Kaasen, he was a crew member of the Jo under skipper Andreas Brecke , which had only one competitor with Léon Huybrechts' Belgian boat Tan-Fe-Pah . The Jo won three racesthe gold medal. In the first race the yacht could not compete due to damage to the mast. She won the second and third races, taking first place overall.
