history

Erlicht is only mentioned in 1538 as dy Gemein von Erlicht . The place name of the scattered settlement with parcel corridor refers to an alder bush. Surrounded by the lordly administrative districts of the Freiberg and Meißen district offices , Erlicht belonged as an exclave to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Grillenburg until 1856 . Due to the nearby Tharandt forest, Erlicht had to provide four hunters for the wolf hunts for the electoral hunts , as evidenced by a document from 1638 . In 1752 the village, which had a court and a school board, is parish to Niederschöna. From 2001 the place belongs to the parish of Niederschöna-Oberschaar. The administrative village of Erlicht, which belongs to the Tharandt-Grillenburg office, was already in communal connection with the town of Herrndorf, which also belongs to the Tharandt-Grillenburg office, at the beginning of the 19th century .

In 1856, Erlicht was incorporated into the Freiberg judicial office and, after the judiciary and administration were separated, in 1875 into the Freiberg district administration. The fire extinguishing and fishing pond at the western end of the village was created by damming the Erlichtbach, which flows into the Rodelandbach before Oberschaar. It was created for irrigation of the fields and for fish farming. On the slightly rising northern slope there were sandstone quarries that were used by the residents until the 20th century.

In 1890 the village became part of Herrndorf and on April 1, 1948 of Hetzdorf . As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Erlicht came as part of the municipality of Hetzdorf in 1952 to the Freiberg district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Freiberg from 1990 and was added to the district of Central Saxony in 2008 . On March 1, 1994, the municipality of Hetzdorf and its districts were incorporated into Niederschöna . This community was again incorporated into Halsbrücke on January 1, 2006. While Erlicht is an independent district of the municipality of Halsbrücke, Herrndorf is now part of the Hetzdorf district. The smallest district of Halsbrücke was therefore illuminated.
