history
The earlier Waldhufendorf of a Conrad (1334 Cunradisdorf , 1350 Conradisdorf ) was founded with the colonization of the Freiberg country in the second half of the 12th century. Allegedly the village belonged to the domain of the Biebersteiner . Until around 1672 the place was a fiefdom part of the manor there , until the Vorwerk mentioned in 1548 was used as a manor itself from 1672. The manorial rule was in the second half of the 14th century with Friedrich von Maltitz , in 1550 Hans Röhtling, mayor of Geyer and Annaberg is named as feudal lord and around 1764 the council of Freiberg. Country Magnificent counties of Conradsdorf were 1,445 nursing Freiberg and around 1590 to 1856, the Electoral Saxon and Royal Saxon Regional Authority Freiberg . From 1856 Conradsdorf belonged to the Freiberg judicial office and, after the separation of justice and administration, from 1875 to the Freiberg district administration .
Conradsdorf was a main station for pilgrims after the Altzella ( Cella ) monastery . The neo-Gothic village church with its pointed roof turret dominating the landscape was built using the medieval tower choir house in 1871/72. On the wall surrounding the cemetery next to the entrance to the churchyard is a sandstone cross with an incised spear, known as the medieval murder or atonement cross . It is said to be reminiscent of a sexton who is said to have killed a church robber. The cross was discovered in 1937 in the gable of the vicarage barn.
In addition to agriculture, mining was an important source of income in earlier times. The St. Lorenz Gegentrum mine , whose location is still recognizable today by the many heaps and piles , was the most important mining facility north-west of Conradsdorf from the beginning of the 17th century to 1780. In the years 1631/32 the Lorenz-Gegentrum- Kunstgraben was created. The heaps near the Fuchsmühle are evidence of the Neubeschert Glück mine, which was in operation until 1813. The “Old Deep Fürstenstolln” was the most important Freiberg water solution gallery since the 14th century. The listed mouth hole of the tunnel was created in the 17th century and is located at the " Roten Graben " above the Freiberg Mulde. The state coat of arms of the Electorate of Saxony can still be seen at the mouth . Nearby is the mouth hole of the main break in the “ Old Deep Fürstenstolln ” , which is also under monument protection . The "Hauptstolln Umbruch" was built between 1821 and 1850 as a replacement for the "Alten Tiefen Fürstenstolln". The “ Halsbacher Korallen Agate ”, which can be processed into very beautiful jewelry, was found in the field of the barite mine “Weichelts Hope”, Conradsdorf's last former mining company, in the border area to Halsbach.
The Fuchsmühle driven by the Freiberg Mulde, also known as the Ratsmühle in the 18th century, fell victim to a fire in 1908 and was then rebuilt as a tin goods factory. The oldest connecting road from Freiberg to Dresden led across the corridors of Conradsdorf. The old Muldenbrücke next to the concrete bridge was built in 1501. It replaced the wooden footbridge on the oldest road in Dresden.
On July 1, 1950, the neighboring towns of Falkenberg and Tuttendorf were incorporated into Conradsdorf. As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , the municipality of Conradsdorf became part of the Freiberg district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Freiberg from 1990 and was added to the district of Central Saxony in 2008. By incorporating the municipality of Conradsdorf with its two districts after Halsbrücke, Conradsdorf has been a district of Halsbrücke since March 1, 1994.
