Ernst Ludwig Taentzel
Ernst Ludwig Taentzel (also: Tänzel, Taenzel, Täntzel ) (born March 9, 1791 , † June 13, 1845 in Hanover ) was a German master mason - architect , master stone mason and senator .
Life
Ernst Ludwig was the son of the court mason Johann Georg Taentzel and the grandson of Johann Christoph Taentzel .
In 1819 Taentzel passed his master craftsman examination. He often worked with Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves .
In 1820, Taentzel, together with the sculptor August Hengst , created the alliance coat of arms at the Old Palace for Duke Adolph Friedrich, Duke of Cambridge and his wife Auguste of Hesse , Duchess of Cambridge and Vice Queen in the Kingdom of Hanover .
"Probably" by Taentzel comes the classicistic redesign of the town house of Count von Kielmannsegge in Calenberger Strasse ( Dachenhausenpalais ) carried out in 1828 .
In 1827 Taentzel built a semi-detached house in Georgstrasse based on plans by Laves .

When the Villa Rosa was built in 1830 , Taentzel presented his plan to Laves, who then revised the details.
In 1836 Taentzel created the (not preserved) houses in Adolfstrasse 2 and 3 ; House number 2 was combined with Ernst-August-Palais in 1839 and with number 3 by Justus Heinrich Jakob Molthan in 1845 . From 1841 to 1843 and from 1847 to 1851 the buildings were the residence of the then Crown Prince and later ruler of the Kingdom of Hanover , King George V.
Ernst Ludwig Taentzel's listed tomb , like that of his father, can be found in the garden cemetery in Hanover . His sarcophagus bore the grave number 468 according to Hinrich Hesse and was located near 7 other grave monuments named Täntzel or Taentzel with the numbers 467 to 474, including master mason Johann Georg Taentzel , some of which also have several names on a tombstone.
