Erpensen is a district of the city of Wittingen in the district of Gifhorn in Lower Saxony .
geography
The place is northeast of the core area of Wittingen. The state border with Saxony-Anhalt runs 2 km to the east.
history
On March 1, 1974 Erpensen was incorporated into the town of Wittingen together with the former communities Darrigsdorf , Gannerwinkel , Glüsingen , Kakerbeck , Lüben , Rade , Stöcken , Suderwittingen and Wollerstorf .
