coat of arms
The draft municipal coat of arms of Gannerwinkel comes from the heraldic coat of arms painter peoples Gustav , which all arms in the Hanover region has designed. The coat of arms was adopted by the council on June 8, 1963 and approval was granted on August 7 of the same year by the Lüneburg government president.
Blazon : "In red an enhancing, gold- armored , silver ganter ." | |
Justification of the coat of arms: The talking coat of arms points to the Wittingen district of Gannerwinkel, which was incorporated on March 1, 1974. The ganter is not the most common heraldic animal next to the eagle , but it is by no means less courageous in its field than the king of the air. Thus, the community took him in their coat of arms. |
