Estevan Oriol

Estevan Oriol (* in Santa Monica , California ) is a Mexican - American photographer and director . His works mainly reflect the urban and gang culture of Los Angeles . He is best known for his photographs and music video productions. He is a partner in the fashion brand Joker Brand Clothing and a member of the Soul Assassins group .

Career

Oriol, son of Eriberto Oriol , began his career as a bouncer in hip-hop clubs, and later toured and managed Cypress Hill and House of Pain . During this time, Oriol began to document his life.

His reputation allowed him to photograph gang members as well as celebrities. Oriol has worked with Danny Trejo , Cypress Hill, Eminem , Snoop Dogg , Rise Against , Tech N9ne , 50 Cent and many more. His works appear in various magazines such as Rolling Stone , Complex , FHM , GQ , Vibe , The Source and many more.

In 2004 Oriol took part in the portrayal of the globally successful video game GTA: San Andreas .

Oriol later began producing music videos for various rap and rock artists. He has also published numerous books and calendars, including LA Woman , which appeared in 2009.

He lives in the San Fernando Valley and has three sons and a daughter. In 2013 he shot the multi-part documentary series Tattoo Stories with the tattoo artist Trigz (real name Michael Christopher Pebley) in the role of the moderator .
