Eugene Klee

Eugen Klee (born December 24, 1887 in Cochem , † December 19, 1956 in Bonn ) was a German ambassador .

Life

Eugen Klee attended high school in Koblenz. Eugen Klee studied law and political science at the Universities of Lausanne , Munich , Berlin and Halle . Eugen Klee did studies in France, Spain and Italy .

Klee was a trainee lawyer at the Naumburg Higher Regional Court . Klee was at the University of Greifswald to Doctor of Law and at the Albertina (Koenigsberg) Dr. phil. PhD . Klee was a trainee lawyer at the Cochem District Court and later at the Berlin Regional Court .

In 1914 Klee volunteered as a war volunteer , was retired as not fit for field service and was appointed as a trainee lawyer at the court martial of the Guard Corps .

In 1918, Klee was accepted into the foreign service as an attaché . In 1920 Klee was accredited as legation secretary at the embassy of the German Reich to the Holy See and promoted to the legation council in 1924. In 1926 he was accredited at the Consulate General in New York .

On July 20, 1933, Eugen Klee d'Affaires ad interim to the Holy See and participated in the signing of the Reich Concordat in the Vatican in part. On September 10, 1933, Eugen Klee exchanged the ratification documents of the Reich Concordat with Pacelli .

Eugen Klee was married to Marie-Elisabeth Klee (1922–2018).
