Eurosong 2006 (Belgium)
The Belgian national preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 was called Eurosong '06 .
system
For the first time, the Belgian preliminary round also included quarter-finals : seven candidates competed in each quarter-finals. Three of them qualified for the two semi-finals , in which again three out of seven candidates qualify for the final . A total of 14 titles will start in the two semi-finals, as a jury of experts awarded two wildcards.
After the semi-finals, a jury of experts decided on a further finalist. So the final consisted of seven candidates.
poll
In addition to the televoting, there were a total of four juries in the quarter and semi-finals : an expert jury (in the following tables Exp. ), A press jury (in the following tables Press ) and two radio juries, one from Radio 2 (in the following tables R2 ), the other from Radio Donna (in the following tables RD ). The juries could award points from 1 to 5, 7 and 9, the televoting (in the TED tables below ) double the points, i.e. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 18.
In the final, the juries were supported by three international juries - one German , one Israeli and one Polish . So that the televoting still has a sufficient share in the overall result, its shares were raised to three times that of a jury. The televoting could therefore award the points 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 21 and 27. Germany, Poland and Israel were chosen as country juries in the final because, according to Peeters in the final, they have always given points to the ESC's winning song in the last eight competitions. For example, Germany gave Israel 7 points in 1998, Sweden 2 points in 1999, Denmark 2000 12 points, Estonia 2001 10 points, Latvia 2002 12 points, Turkey 2003 10 points, Ukraine 2004 6 points and Greece 2005 12 points. For comparison: Switzerland gave Ukraine no points in 2004, had to pause in 1999, 2001 and 2003 and was therefore unable to award any points.
The points of the telephone voting were announced by the then Flemish Prime Minister Yves Leterme .

At the Eurovision Song Contest
At the contest in Athens , Kate Ryan had to compete in the semi-finals with Je t'adore because Nuno Resende failed to qualify for the final the year before .
With 69 points she did not manage to qualify for the final - despite being a certain favorite.
